Society

Society got me weak
It’s crazy how you walk past a homeless man
And don’t ask them “Do you want something to eat?”
It’s cold hearted in these streets
A black man got hurt just for talking to a white lady
	That’s freedom of speech?
People pour tears everyday
	Shed blood everyday
		EACH AND EVERYDAY
I pray the streets won’t take me away
	Before I leave this place
Hope the Lord will forgive me
For he can open his gate
Society
What has it done for me?
Black people went through slavery
But we still have no peace
Black on black crimes happen as we speak
Kids getting killed trying to cross the streets
It’s hard in black communities
	We suffer to survive
If you look in to my eyes
Would you call me a good guy?
Society
