Our Fleeting Passion

I watch your smile in the sparkling night
as I relish our evanescent time together
we gaze at the glittering stars dance around with glee
swaying with the glowing moon behind the clouds

we waltz under the endless dark blue
twirling like the shadows of flickering flames
you wrap your hands around my neck
while my heart is quivering with great thrill

I fall deeper into your captivating eyes
breathless, admiring the glimmering emeralds
you are the siren singing the alluring songs
and I am the fool put into a deep trance

leaning in, I brush my lips against yours
as I leave a gentle, lingering kiss
oh how I feel alive as if I can reach cloud nine
but our bodies are frozen in time and space

alas, the winds of reality blows us apart
we drifted further and further away
I simply became a whisper of infatuation to you
an echo of a short-lived romance.
