Black

What happens when you disappear? Do you become who you want to be? Are you a fly on the wall? Does everything become okay? Or is it just total blackness. But how can you define blackness when black is all you've known? You see black. You hear black. You feel black. Even in a room full of white walls the black caves in. And what then? You feel like you've already disappeared. The black shows nothing. So how do you disappear from nothing. A wise man once told me to get over it and move on with your life. But how can you get over nothing? How can you move on from nothing? The nothingness is black. How do you disappear from black? I wonder what its like to disappear? So again I pose to you what happens when you disappear?

What a profound, moving, and interesting poem Justin. Doesn't blackness 'illuminate' all our lives, since life came out of blackness? Amitiés

"But how can you get over nothing?" This is a very intriguing question. Nice poem Justin and welcome to poetrysoup!
