Lost Love
The bedroom next to mine is yours
On your 3rd birthday I would tuck you in
You would ask me to read you a bedtime story
I would lay with you until you fell asleep.
If you should wake in the night sick
I would run to help
But...before you could see the world
You slipped & fell
I never tucked you in,
I never read you a story.
