Crazy Mornings
“Wake up! wake up! - you gonna be late”
“In 30 minutes, we need to be out that gate”
Crawling deeper under the sheet
“Mama but I need more sleep”
“Get done - you will be late for school”
“But help me look - I cannot find my other shoe”
Getting ready, almost done
“Mama I found my shoe - but now I lost the other one”
Forgot to put my makeup on, but at least we’re off to school
“Wait mama! - I forgot my jacket, and need to find my glasses too”
School drop, morning hugs and kisses done
“Wait mama! Another huggie - kissy - one more - wait - another one”
Off I go with a huge exhale - thinking - at least we found the other shoe
Made it on time for school, and got all my kissies and huggies too
Remembering - No matter how crazy my mornings may start
The love in those little eyes, will forever remain my favourite part
