Feeling At Peace

The confusion in my heart grows more each day.
I watch you stutter looking for the right words to say.
I let the gun fall from my hands to the floor.
There's no reason to fight,I can't take it anymore.

Suddenly,I find my world's turning black.
I've done what I've done, there's no looking back.
I hear you calling to me,"Fight, baby, fight!".
My body is numb and my chest feels tight.

I am weightless,I think I'm going to float.
I struggle to breathe, the blood gurgling in my throat.
I feel the pain of the hole in my head.
If they don't hurry,I'll soon be dead.

The sirens and flashing lights are just too late,
for I am in a limbo sort of state.
I look down on the blood-soaked place,
and see the look of horror upon your sweet face.

I hear you scream and call out my name,
you start to cry and I feel such shame.
Please don't cry,my love will never cease,
just try to believe that I am now finally at peace.
