Hazey

Eyes shine at one thought of you.
Tears shed over many nights of solitude.
Pain unending seems immense.
Love lost,
tears evaporate like mist
sacred memories
like a lovers first kiss.
What of the years
put to no use?
Hanging, waiting,
neck tied to a noose.
Give back my breath
I've been holding too long.
Love I once knew
now too far gone.

Enjoyed reading your excellent poetry today and hope to be back soon to read more Teena. This time of year we all are so busy and I for one don't have a lot of time right now but I will try. I love reading the poetry of the many talented poets here at the Soup. Hope to be reading your poetry for many more years to come. Thank you for sharing your poetry with us and may you always find the inspiration to continue with your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol
