The Hill

When thoughts overwhelm me,
I run to you
where I can be free

next to the sea
under a forest canopy
where nature surrounds
I found you

When I stumbled across you,
many months ago,
things were calm, collected, serene
time stood still
			so did my mind

things change
I never thought you would
your leaves have fallen,
			the air chilled
					your green gone dead

the universe is strange
in changing you
when all I needed
was
	consistency

but even nature changes, I suppose
