The Tin Man

The tin man,
is who I want to be
Your words wouldn't hurt me
No pain would I feel
No tears would I cry

When the sun didnt shine
The birds didnt sing
And raindrops fell all about me
I wouldnt really care
I'd have no heart you see

When you didnt call
Or I caught you in a lie
No teardrops would fall
My heart wouldnt break
I wouldnt really care at all

I'd sleep the whole night through
No sad lonely dreams of you
No endless days of pain
Everyday would be the same

Yes the Tin Mans who I want to be
Please, Mr. Wizard No Heart for me!

Nice write Florence! Sad but well-written. It does seem sometimes that having no heart would be simpler than feeling hurt but then it means we won't feel anything at all! And that would be so much worse I guess. Aargh! Tough.
