Letting go

Through storms we stood still.
Through tornadoes we have kissed.

We have held each other,
through the darkest nights.
We have loved each other,
through the sunniest of days.

We have seen each other,
in our multicolored costumes.
We have tasted each other,
in our worst mixtures of ingredients.

We have long seized to be,
the two teenagers in love.
And the time came,
when tired hands,
have had to let go,
of the tired souls.

But come what may,
my love for you,
shall forever stay.
