Disappointed
Disappointments come and go. But this one's here to stay
You want me to be your little one forever, yet strangely push me away
Always causing a stir, making trouble left and right
Constantly trying to bring the peace, but only adding to the fight
These past few years, have been a living hell
Your demands have only added to it. Or can't you tell?
You say we don't 'bond' or 'talk' like we did when I was younger
You liked it then. All the power and control. Isn't that why you had another?
Liked seeing my future, calling all the shots.
now it seems a challenging game, and you can't quite connect the dots.
They say "its just a phase" "its those awkward years"
But all hells broken loose. Awakening, challenging, all your hidden fears
Stress begins to rise, tempers begin to boil
Wasted time and money it seems, from your endless love and toil
You blame yourself, for all the hurt and pain this caused
Don't. I too want to rewind, and press pause
I too want to hide away, and lock the door
Just give up. And not care anymore
Wishing for magic powers, sit back and watch, as it all disappears
This is reality. Whats done is done. Please, dry your tears
Nothing is alright. Nothing is okay
Disappointments come and go, but
I am here to stay.
