On the Porch Swing
on the porch swing
that's where I do my thinking thing
of days long ago
and the future things, that Idon't know
my secret get-a-way
in which I escape to everyday
on the porch swing
swinging back and for this what I do
pondering all the things that I've been through
the good times and the bad times
when I was happy, and when I was sad
on the porch swing
bowing my head, and closing my eyes
I reach down deep inside clearing my conscious from the things
I hide
trying to answer my questions of why on the porch swing
