Two puzzle pieces
I've observed many relationships,
And some things only change with time,
She likes to give handmade gifts, while he searches the whole market for that perfect gift.
She gets anxious if he doesn't text, while he's just busy studying.
She prefers deep conversations,
While he never expresses coz he's lost in listening.
She might get hurt of that one female friend's friendliness,
While for him it's just a childhood bond.
She believes in expression of love,
While he believes in the presence of it.
She feels emotional intimacy is more important,
While for him physical hugs and holding hands are intimacy.
She sometimes wishes if he could read her feelings which she couldn't describe,
While he wishes that she tells them clearly.
She gets too emotional during clashes,
While he tries to logically explain.
She wants him to stay and fix immediately,
While he wants her to give him some time.
She feels that little things matter the most,
While he's just admiring the surface things.
She hates repeating her needs,
While he's just too innocent to read in between the lines.
It gets troublesome to understand what the other wants,
It definitely feels like they aren't the right fit for each other,
It leads to cries, it leads to getting hurt but,
It is not about changing who you are, it is about accepting the differences,
It is about understanding those differences and acting with care,
And still loving them to the fullest.
Afterall two different puzzle pieces perfectly fit together.
