Ode to Filipinos

You are a race,
So one of a kind!
Uniquely seen
in any place.
A race with glee
In humanity.
Finds peace in God,
And happiness
In calamity.
A race so kind,
It's culture shines.
A mark of pride, yet
Nor black or white.

Short and brown,
They may be.
But remarkably
Is their capability.
Your work shows
A native gold,
Where heart's in place
In any phase.
And when they stand
Or work their hand,
Their dignity
remarkably can't hide,
Definitely,
A Pinoy Pride!

what a lovely tribute, mum had a lot of Filipino staff looking after her in her care home, they are true angels indeed and many work in the hospital /care industry or hospitality industry on our Island:-) hugs jan xx
