Age old war

Heart and Brain are at war over a sinking ship,
"There's too much baggage!" cries Brain.
We must let it go or we'll sink and die!
The ship drowning in it's rusting pain.

"Only these anchors are what's left of the voyage here,
Id rather curl up n drown" says Heart
Id happily embrace the end and keep what's dear,
Than let this sea of tears break the ghost and I apart.

"You're to watch me die because you got hurt?"  Brain retorts in surrender
No, my twin, we're to die because we didn't know adding salt wouldn't help salve the seas unhealed temper.

They fought within and not the sea,
The vessel succumbing to relentless waves!
Each pouring with their buckets unbalanced
Thus forfeiting their essence,
in many ways, for many days.

Be careful who is on your boat dear Heart was the lesson to be learned
As Brain stood watching Pain sail by,
bypassing guards on,
                                       bridges they should have burned.

Brain suddenly noticed they were slowly rising!
rescued by new heroic lands
He turned to kiss his forgetful brother and saw him sprinting,
To a new adventure with new baggage,
                                           grasped within her hands.
