Feels Like Ishq

I saw her for the first time,
It felt like a lifetime,
Her brown hair dazzled,
While her eyes sparkled.

Her smile was like diamond glints,
She is the only person I think of since,
Nobody uttered a word,
Nothing to be heard.

She was with her friends,
I was alone with things for mends,
She moved and I thought to stop her,
Couldn’t cause I didn’t know her.

Would come everyday same place, same time,
Thought never meet her again,
But the sun rose and came the morning time,
Saw her and talked for a gain.

Gradually we became friends,
Didn’t need anyone for our mends,
Strangers to best friends,
Talked to her everything that would/wouldn’t trend.

She would do the same,
I wanted things more than friends,
Didn’t know if she felt the same.

One fine day, gathered up all the courage I had,
To tell her my feelings before it was too late,
But that moment she was sad,
So thought it was my fate.

Could never get a girl like her to date.
Days went by talking to each other,
But to my surprise I was not her ‘Brother’.

She confessed, I proposed and then came our happy life,
It’s been 10 years now,
At the same place, time I met her,
Nothing has changed I wonder.

Thought this was my destiny,
This was my feeling of ishq.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
