The Snake Underneath

They thought they could crush her;
like a pretty little flower,
But she is much more than that;
she holds extra ordinary power.
They thought they could crush her;
like a daisy in their hand,
But there is something in her;
that they do not understand.
She is a wild flower;
the wildest in the bloom,
Power radiates off her;
as she enters the room.
She makes people at her feet;
with just a single stare,
A hint of mischief;
in that emotionless, deadly glare.
She manipulates those around her;
all once in a while,
That evil smirk disguised;
as a honey-coated smile.
It took so long to identify;
what she was hiding beneath,
My Love, She was never the flower;
But the snake underneath.
