The Cat That Makes Me Feel Calm
My hand runs across her back, her soft fur intertwining with my fingers. Her purrs that escape her frail body as I gently pet her, back and forth, enter my ears as a sense of tranquility rushes over me. My cat’s olive green eyes shine to me, and mine, the same shade as hers, stare right back at her. When our gazes meet, my anxiety melts and I feel calm. And when she watches me cry, she chirps, and it makes me smile. She was made for me, we were made for eachother.
