Her Poem

From the moment our eyes first met
I knew I was complete.

Your baby soft skin against my chest
Your deep blue eyes defining my soul.

Someone taken away and a Blessing given.
How miraculous the way things work in the Kingdom of Heaven.

You grow so quickly, your changing so much.
From the look in your eyes to the feel of your touch.

You test the limits around you, see how far I'll let you go.
Doing thing's behind my back
You don't realize I already know.

Your curls so light and bouncy
Your giggle so strong and true

I realized the day we met... why I was born
It was so I could give birth to you.

Now your going to be a young women someday
And a beautiful one at that.
Let me lend you some words of wisdom
As I set you on my lap

You'll have your heart broken
Maybe one time, maybe two times, could be three.
Just know I'm always here for you, If you want to share it with me.

There are going to be questions, I realized that long ago.
I PROMISE to listen carefully before I answer no.

Stay strong with who you are
Only change if it's for the best

I'll try not to over-react when you decide to leave the "Nest".

Love yourself before others
But please be selfless just the same

If you ever get the chance
Make sure you dance in the rain

And when you feel.
Feel completely, no matter what you become or do.

Know that your mommy will always be there

I FOREVER WILL LOVE YOU.
