Little Red Bird

Hey little red bird
Wings of ruby crystals
You took my heart
And flew far away from here

You took your song
And whispered it in my ear
Now I just wish
That I could hold you in my hand once more

The other day I found a red feather
Whispers on the wind blew it through my door
You used to hover above the threshold
Now you lay forever in my heart

I will forever miss you
Wishing I could watch you grow
The one thing you will never know
Is how much you really meant to me
