Our Time Is Done
Our time burned by
Like a comet across the sky.
I felt passion and lust,
Mistaken for love and trust.
But I've come to realize
What I saw in your eyes.
I was your escape;
Your chance to get away.
Now the blaze I felt
That caused me to melt,
Has been long gone
And I'm left alone,
With just one more scar
To my damaged heart,
And the memory of a fool
About my feelings for you.
Like the setting of the sun,
Our time is done.
