Life Is Pretty Ironic Huh

Nowadays self-sabotage is glorified
Mothers wide-eyed and terrified
Of their little babies becoming demonised
Getting help is horrified
But bottling it up is normalised
As a society we lead by false priorities that demoralise the youth
Self-help, wealth and health all lie buried deep in the depths
Instead of help we take a breath, use our strength and try and avoid death

Life is horrible but death is feared
You can only optimise and epitomise your self-worth once the smoke has cleared
Keep to yourself and bite your tongue
Your struggles don't matter when you're young
You think it's bad now?
My child, it has only begun
Wait till you grow up son
I tell you again
It has only just begun

I wish I was young again
I didn't think it would hurt like this kind of pain
I guess I was right society is messed up and everyone is to blame
It's tricky to explain
But after years of bottling it up I guess it's pain the brain can't contain

Give me a minute I think that's the train station
I wish me and my friends had more communication
I wish I worked harder at school and got the best out of my education
But the combination of lack of concentration and too much imagination left me and my thoughts in isolation

The train comes in three minutes
It's kind of funny this is going to be the first train I use with no tickets
I just hope there's no witnesses to see my disappearance
I'm not even religious but I'm praying Lord give me forgiveness

Oh snap train's here
The sound of metal on metal is pain in my ears
But my own heartbeat is the only thing I can hear
One look to the sky as I shed a tear
Now it's my time to disappear

This is it, there's no going back
You've got society to thank
You wish you had more people to reminisce over but your mind has gone blank
There's no time to think
Now you've stepped onto the track
And in a split second that bright beautiful world turned black
