You Are Never To Far

I know something we cannot change..
spring summer fall and winter..
we all live to one day die... but one thing is for sure
my love for you will never die...
I just want you to know that I love you
and even though some times I did not show it
and sometimes I made you mad
and sometimes you mad me sad
As I a child you was my hero
As a teenager you showed me how to balance my feeling
As adult you showed me how rise a family
cooking and the early morning fishing trips, and I thank you for that..
even though you are not here with me now
I know you watch me from above...
I will take every memory that we all shared.. and Carry it like
a tattoo .. and I often
smile and look into the sky.. because I know you
are their. I Love you Daddy and we miss you. Gone
but Never for gotten...
happy Father's day...
your youngest child...

Excellent tribute, not too flowery. Glad you have good memories of of your Dad. I have two daughters 30, 28 and they spoil me. We also have a son aged 26. I was an Early childhood teacher for 30 years. It was very sad to see so many children latch onto me because they did not have a Loving Father in their life. Treasure those memories. I treasure memories of teaching the children to ride a bike etc. Keep posting David in NZ

This poem made me smile. It brought back great memories of special moments I shared with my father. Thank you for sharing it.

Think Father will be happy you're still thinking of him. Daughters are always special, that's why we get protective of you's which usually drivesyou nuts.
