The Tears Won'T Stop

The Tears won't stop

             The Tears won't stop
             I wish they would.
It seems they come from a bottomless well.
From deep inside, where loneliness dwells.
The Tears "well-up" and over flow
God help me please, I cry and cry,
At times i'm not sure exactly why.

Some deep pain, some deeper sigh,
Escapes my heart and soul as one.
The answer lies within the well.
And in time, the well, as it runs dry,
will share the answer with its' own deep sigh.

If it's any comfort Carolee, the tears do stop, unless a memory should overtake the moment. However, the pain remains. (at least for me).

Beautiful, if sad, poem. It is not tragic, or desperate, & I can guess why. You see, as a Hindu become LOVER of LORD Jesus, I cry when I read Bible, even saying Grace, thankful for His provision. We can cry like that ... & not be tragic. Connects with John Chapter 4, "The woman at the well" in Samaria is loved by Jesus, despite 5 divorces.
