Truth: Overrated- Overrated

What if telling the truth is going to change the life of a lot of people around you for worse? What if telling the truth is only going to hurt you and others in ways which aren’t physically possible?
What if you’re not really afraid of exposing yourself to everyone but just of accepting that you’re actually capable of stooping to such an atrocious extent?
What if telling the truth doesn’t set you free, rather makes you a victim and despise yourself?
What if telling the truth brings no one any good?
What if, even worse, your truth doesn’t matter at all?
What if ‘the truth needs to be told’ is nothing but a lie?
What if no one wants to listen to your truth and everyone is better off by the lies you make them believe?
What if all of it is a facade to hide away from the dismay of such deeds causing horrendous and insufferable pain?
Cause redeeming yourself after being vulnerable in this world, is walking in a cross-pit of fire.
Cause mending your ways in the right direction doesn’t always help to endure the burden of the darkened soul.
Cause it’s nothing but an appalling and feeble attempt to clear your conscious and have a guilt free licence.
Cause slaying your inner demons and fighting the terror you feel is far more compound than riding the world of your lies.
In the end, truth may not ALWAYS set you free.
