Hear Love

Can you hear it?
Are you listening?
My soul is open
Like a wound
My thoughts and fears
Flow like crimson liquid
Yet you turn away

Can you hear it?
Are you listening?
My aching heart
Lies in this conversation
Between two humans
But only one person hears it
With every word
My heart beats louder
Yet you turn away

Can you hear it?
Are you listening?
My teardrops hit
The hardwood floor
Like shattered glass
The sound…spine tingling
Yet you don’t even blink

Can you hear it?
Are you listening?
My love is screaming
For you
Yet I’m alone in this feeling

You can feel my love
But can you hear it?

A litany of longing and regret... heartrending emotion so magnificently expressed! Well done Samantha!! Best wishes, Keith
