A Night of Remembering

A NIGHT OF REMEMBERING

           A New Year.
           He died yesterday
           the Love of my Life,
           a title long retired.

           I remember others
           father, mother, brothers,
           friends beloved.

          Tonight  they’re present
          in my mind and heart.

          Am I still here
	        to remember
	        to carry love forward
	        to tell their stories.
