And Forget

I waited for you, but you never showed up.
I thought of you, but it was never enough.
I expected more than you could provide.
I needed you to be on my side.
You left me and never thought twice.
You ruined my dreams, you were my vice.
You were my creation, my everything.
You treated me like I was nothing.
Now time has gone by and it is too late.
Now I sit and sigh while I wait.
Now I wish to die and try to forgive,
……………….and forget.

Trying to forget someone who meant everything to u is something like wishing upon a star that doesn't exist. Time heals though. It's just a matter of being tough. Nice piece by the way..

Experiencing life can help you to forgive, forgetting is yet another issue. Well written

It s a really sad and beautiful poem, we all expect life to go as we think and planned it, but many times it don t go our way, when that happens, try to forget the past and future on future, if someone has left you, that person was never yours, wait and someone will come who will love you like you expect that person to be. A wish you a very warm welcome on poetrysoup and I m sure that you ll enjoy your long stay here, good luck and continue to write
