Kelly was raised in a dysfunctional family with years of abuse that was hidden under the carpet. She was bullied and beat by other children at school and at home. In her teenage years she turned to drugs and alcohol for comfort. When she turned sixteen she moved in with a man she later married thinking things would be different. Only to find out her nightmare was just getting started. She and her children lived in one dump after other never having enough money for anything worthwhile. She lived through emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Not having anywhere to turn to and to afraid to leave him. In the early nineties he left them behind in a trailer with no running water, no beds to sleep on and no way to get around in the dead of winter. Only to run off with another woman clear across the states. She cried out to the Lord I can't live like this what did I do wrong. She has been on a long journey through the grace of God.Finding healing of a broken heart, strength to keep moving forward and forgiveness of others that have hurt her. She has two books published. A Past Never Forgotten and Never Give Up On Hope.
