Sonic Koco is an online band that produces experimental art and ambient instrumental tracks.
The group likes to create new original concept pieces and atmospheric sounds, inspirational and unique musical concepts.
The band's influencers are Pink Floyd, Genesis (70-75), U2, Radiohead, David Bowie, Velvet Underground, Kate Bush, Bjork, Enya, Mike Oldfield, Japan, Vangelis, Art of Noise, Sigur Rus, Brian Eno and Roxy Music.
The band hails from London, England, and collaborates with many artists, song writers, lyricists and poets across the world.
Originally formed in 2008, Sonic Koco had a brief rock career on the road between 2008 to 2011 supporting many artists, before finally breaking up and going their separate ways. At their peak, the band had a global following of over 25,000 fans, from Brazil to Japan. Every band likes to say they were unique, but Sonic Koco truly was. Some of their old music can still be found on their YouTube page.
Two of the founding members and brothers Paul and Steve decided to reform the band in 2019 and write new material to work with international artists and singers.
