John Reed Poem
i burn in a unrelenting fire
i drown in overwhelming waters
tears streak down my face
a smile spreads across my lips
i'm free among the clouds
i'm trapped in my tomb
feelings of love overtake my heart
feelings of hate envelope my spirit
i survive in the world around me
i live in my sleep, caressed by my dreams
there is a secret i keep even to myself
about the conflict within
if i admit to it i will drown
if i flee from it i will burn
if i....
i cry.

John Reed Poem
can you hear
the silence int he noise
it beckons for me too come
it screams my name
just as i screams its
Noise
the savor of my sorrow
the sustenance of my spirit
the world is filled with noise
it overflows and yet i starve
i lay in the dark
the abyss of my inner thoughts
i drown myslef the Noise
Bands scream into my head
yet i still can hear the silence
my thoughts and i still suffer
once the Bands stop
my tears start again
the silence in the noise
the only shelter i have left
silence in the noise
that is what saves me the best

John Reed Poem
Like rhythmic rain they fall
cold against my raw skin
bitter across my chapped lips
like words of hate and anger
poisonous to my young life
wounding my ragged heart
tearing apart my lost soul
constrained and contained
to the glass prision
bottled up and trapped by
my thumb pressing down
keeping them hidden with
a false smile
My clamped teeth bite back
the screams of defeat
my shirt soaked with rain
and tears
my body aching from the
internal fighting of man versus self
