Kendra Christensen Poem
One window is all I need.
Coming home from a long day, motionless on my bed
trying to find the strength to get up and go on
I look at myself in a mirror, hum songs stuck in my head
I wish I could smile and believe,
believe that through all this pain that I am stronger
they think I get stronger every day I'm still alive,
but I believe I am growing weaker as I move on,
living, surviving, fighting, to believe in myself and find the strength within me
Now I see one window is all I need.

Kendra Christensen Poem
My dearest, if immortality reigned
Would you strive, strive and ask something more
No choice given, would you leave me pained
The things I think at night shake my very core
We shudder and shake as if our pasts wake
You're oh so sweet love, I do hope to keep
My love for you my dear will never be fake
I fear you may be of torn soul, you weep
Don't be afraid for I shall carry us both along
The immortal gift shall be our wild story
I tell you with true affection, we're strong
We together shall gain perfect glory
Among mortals, the immortal is born
We are the ones they say we're full of scorn

Kendra Christensen Poem
A scream in the moonlight echoes through the trees
Emotions wash over me as we’re trapped in the dark
I’ve memorized your smile a mysterious ocean a warm sun
I’ve loved you for infinity our fingers intertwined
A kiss soft as a feather I believe we’re breathtakingly perfect
Our lives redeemed our souls illuminating the trees
Our new life awaits us as the ink blue sky darkens
As the rebellion paints sadness in the moonlit night
Danger motionless beneath us, a simple rose for each
To remind us of the little beauty we have left
The murmurs of forgotten souls linger in the air
Our fears diminish as we leave the world we once called home
Walking into the vast unknown to experience the afterlife
