Your Lies

Gazing at the sky,
Touching the scars,
Remembering the pain you caused I start to cry,
Over my heart I have now put bars.

You told me you cared,
Of course I believed you,
Never had I felt so scared,
The hatred I feel for you is true.

You told me you cared,
But now I see through your lies,
And now it is you who is scared,
For you know I will be your demise.

Patiently awaiting the day I can return the favor,
That is a moment that I will surely savor.

Requiem of a Broken Heart

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls out to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

My mind cries out in anguish,
The damages cannot be reversed.
Walking on Hallowed grounds,
Whispering sweet promises of a painless eternity,
The grave calls to me.

Clinging to your bitter sweet memory,
As I watch you gather the pieces of my heart,
Only to throw them away from me.

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

Dreams envisioning perfection,
Linger on my mind.
Unending love within my reach,
Never again to leave.

Sweet delusions of love,
Whispering endearments in my ears.
Winning my heart over,
As your wondrous eyes reveal
Your poisonous lies.

Soul burning with tears not yet cried,
The moon calls to me in a sea of forbidden love.
Promises made to a heart that’s been broken
Do nothing more than tear it apart.

Perfection

Searching for the unknown,
Always looking for something more,
Never being satisfied with what’s been shown,
Unwilling to give up until you soar.

The dissatisfaction in your life,
Always leads to your sadness,
Causing you nothing but strife,
Bringing you closer to the brink of madness

Trying to find a nonexistent perfection,
Searching until the day you die,
The want and need spreading like an infection,
Nothing is right when you start to cry.

Whispering softly to those you love,
As perfection escapes on the wings of a dove

September Sunrise

Gazing at the moon,
Watching the stars,
Wondering why the end had to come so soon,
Sitting there alone you stare at the scars.

You swore to each other there would no regreting,
Your unending love a secret to keep,
You promised each other there would be no forgetting,
The night you jumped in a little to deep.

Waiting for the sun to rise,
Holding on tight,
Lost in each others eyes,
Hoping that everything will be alright.

Watching the September Sunrise one last time,
Wishing for one last rhyme.

Suicide Escape

Sitting here listening to voices unclear,
Not knowing why she does what they say,
She sits down and listens in fear,
Holding herself, she will try wishing them away.

She tries to reason with the voices,
She says they’re not really there,
They say she has two choices,
She argues that’s not fair.

Her parents think she’s crazy, they worry that she’s lost it,
It causes too much pain for her to see the tears in their eyes,
They fear that one day her wrists she will slit,
She knows now that they see through her smiling disguise.

Her mind the Devil will rape,
As she plans her sweet suicide escape.

Obscene Serenity

Scars on my heart,
Scars on my wrist,
It tears my soul apart,
To know that I cannot resist.

As the razor cuts trough skin,
The adrenaline is agonizingly sweet,
Yet I know I cannot win,
So I set myself up to be beat.

Then blood it starts to flow,
A seductive temptation from my vein,
Soon I can feel my heart start to slow,
And my mind is filled with a beautiful pain.

My suicide you shall call an obscenity,
While it is my own peaceful serenity.

Reminisce

Sitting here reminiscing about the past,
Thinking about the mistakes I’ve made,
Wondering if the pain will last,
It’s all the product of a trust mislaid.

Feeling the scars from a pain long subdued,
Unending sorrow buried underneath a false smile,
Never to show my true mood,
For other to know my feelings would be vile.

Carrying this burden forever more,
Not knowing how to fix my error,
Knowing I’ll never be able to close this door,
I must continue to live with this terror

Reminiscing about the past,
Hoping the pain will not last.

Silent Sins

Sitting there watching,
A world so unlike our own,
As it falls to pieces,
Not speaking out against,
What is wrong,
Content to live in our own,
Silent Sins.

Ignoring the truth,
As it is not happening to us,
And in doing so,
The living soon become the dead,
Only adding to our own,
Silent Sins.

Knowing not how, nor why,
We can be so content,
Living as we do,
While others shall suffer,
Because of our own,
Silent Sins.

Game of Chance

Looking for misfortunes end,
Waiting for things that patience is said to send,
Hoping and dreaming,
For your luck to change.

You roll the dice once again,
Praying for that which you seek to gain,
The adrenaline rushing through your veins,
The anxiety you can take no more of.

Waiting to make your final call,
Believing that now is your time to win,
Only to find that you have lost it all,
Lost it all to a game of chance.

Looking for misfortunes end,
Waiting for things that patience is said to send,
Hoping and dreaming,
For your luck to change.

Again and again,
You find yourself caged within,
The monster that has held you captive,
Game after game.

You make a silent vow,
That this game shall be your last,
You promise to win it all back,
You can be free from it all now.

Looking for misfortunes end,
Waiting for things that patience is said to send,
Hoping and dreaming,
For your luck to change.

Only to lose one more hand,
To an addiction,
That you did not beat,
This time.

Your promise is always the same,
“Just one more game,
then I swear I’m through”
But that one more game you’re destined lose.

Looking for misfortunes end,
Waiting for things that patience is said to send,
Hoping and dreaming,
For your luck to change.

Dancing With Words

Sitting here with pen in hand, I wonder how I should tell you. The words, they
dance around and around in my head but I can’t seem to get them out right. How
can I tell you that you’re all I think about at night? How do I explain that when your
hand touches mine it sends a chill down my spine? I sit here, dancing with
words, thinking of the little things you do that mean so much, like the way you
watch me when you think I can’t see you. Sitting here with pen in hand, thinking of
the easiest way to tell you. The words, they dance around and around in my head
and all I can think of is I Love You!
