A Thin Line

Always on my mind
sadness and joy, all at once
I wish you were not

La Douleur Exquise

You say you are mine, but that was merely a lie.
For your heart was never truly vacant.
So I took a number, sat in line and tried to be patient.
As the days grew longer and the weather became colder; the flame seemed to never burn brighter.
My thoughts began to wander- making me weak when I was once a fighter.
I gave you your space, as I sat in the cold, and you threw it in my face by giving your warmth to another soul.
Now you feel rage as I rip out our pages using them to keep warm.
Reading them; the wistful tears overwhelm my eyes.
I have been under a spell this whole time and your love for me was merely a lie.

Wish You Were Here

So long, a staple, in my life you have been.
Gone overnight now it's just a remember when.
Soon enough I'll see you and caress your face,
surrounded by love, a feeling I could never replace.
But for now, as I write this and think of this empty bed.
I howl for you every night at the moon and think of every word you have ever said.
Enclosed by a capsule and to my luck, the opening is activated by Time.
so my love in a few months time
I will be able to hold what is ours, what is mine,
Your hand and heart for all of time.

On My Mind

your lips upon mine
staring at the clock
reaching the end of the line
been waiting all day
to unlock this feeling so divine

walk through the door
a warm embrace by your smile
the animal inside, anxious to soar
your body against mine, makes me wild
angelic skin and devilish eyes
making our way to Eden, clothes scattered on the floor
never been so in love with a woman like you before.

the passion escalates
our souls vibrate
the softness of your whispers recreate
the fireworks from our first date

i fear not to rise
for my desire to climb
will leave you breathless
like the first time your lips touched mine
