In Silence

In Silence, eyes close
Tears stained my face.
Feeling empty and alone
I told you It was ok for you to go
To gain peace yet again
No more torment, pride restored
You lay there without a word
What once was strong is now fragile
The ailment has grabbed hold
Staring into the distance, eyes void
Brother, what mysteries do you behold?
Joel, wake from your rest
I touch your face, my hands tremble.
What was once handsome is now sallow
Anguish within me is great.
Not allowing you to see my face,
I rest my head upon your chest.
I love you I whisper
Your breathing is rough
I hear the pulsing of your heart
I know you are with me.
In a strained voice, you said "I Love You," then no more.
My heart leaped, have my ears deceived me
Your heart beats slower
And breathing becomes pallid.
Something is wrong I called.
I stay close, while your love lay there holding you.
Have my eyes have deceived me?
I watch your soul leave your body
Your spirit hovered for a moment then takes flight
In Silence, I closed my eyes.I love you I whisper Goodbye.

My Love, My Husband

In promises of winter end,
was our beginning.

My aching heart beats quicker at the mention of your name.
My soul longs for your touch.

The evening descends; on great owl wings.
I am calmed by your aromas;
It carries me into the dawn;
and your eyes hold me as none before.

I am filled hoping I may be the desire of your heart.
As my lips fall upon yours,
may you know you are my heart desire?

I look for the last gestures of winter end.
I remember my husband,
our day we became as one.

Those years have passed us by,
I still remember that winter day;
as it was yesterday.

My feverish hand lifts to your face.
that we may kiss as one.
We walk hand to hand as husband and wife.
As We began our life a new,
until my last dying breathe.
I Love You.

I Am, and Always Will Be Me

I'm like you, but I'm different
I feel I want, I seek, I love and I hurt.
And I know no matter how hard I try to be you,
how hard I try to please you.
I know at the end of the day,
I will always be me.
So this is who I am, except me or leave me.
Love me or hate me, in the end, it's up to you.

My Prayer

My Prayer

I have questioned myself, people and things around me,
always wanting more.
But never finding the peace I seek.
I looked deep inside of me and knew
what I needed to do, what I need to let go.
I knew it needed to start with me.

Here my heart Lord,
show me the way,
speak to me what is true.
I feel as if I can't breathe,
that the world is weighing down heavy on me
Hold me, Lord shows me the way.
Until I can breathe again.

I am waiting in a silent prayer
Lord, I am troubled by the heavyweight I carry
in a world that is so uncertain, full of suffering and despair.
Must I go this path alone?

Where are you, in my hour of sadness?
I humble myself before you now.
What would you have me do?

I cherish my family so; I feel so helpless
Let me wake from this nightmare,
and let them be whole again.

No more suffering, to be of sound mind.
I humble myself before you now.
Lord, I give them to you.

Lift me up to where you are.
Here my heart Lord,
set me free of the depression that holds on to me.
Hear me, Lord. I'm not strong enough to fight.
Take away the pain
I need you, Lord, give me strength.
Hear me, Lord, show me the way

God

God

I have not seen God's face; but I know he's there.
I feel and see him all around me.
In my blindness, you are my vision.
From the birds in the sky; to answer to prayers.

I may not hear God's voice, but he talks to me through his word.

God has raised me up in my time of trouble when no one else did.
Love me when I was unloveable.
Thank you, God, for hearing me, when I was lost.
For giving me hope, holding me in your arms in my moment of doubt
For showing me the way; through the darkness.

I may not always understand your ways,
but God I put my trust in you.
Each step I take, I will give you all of me.

In a World Without You and I

You find yourself looking for answers,
away to leave the pain behind.
Sometimes the things we thought we needed,
is not what we need at all.
The answers are not always easy to find
and sometimes we get lost along the way.
But I know I need to love myself,
too truly love anyone.
Depend on me, before I can depend on anyone else.

You say you love me from afar.
If I'm not your reasons to wake in the morning
or the last thing you see at night, how can you call it true love.
No, my love, I'm only a dream; and as all dreams, it too will fade in time.
For your heart belongs to another.

So I will love you from afar,
I will wake to a new day
and close my eyes at night and dream of you
And in silents, I will call your name.
But I know I must be true to myself.
And as time go slowly by,
I must close my eyes, to only open them to anew began.
In a world without you and me.

I Am

I am Mother, Wife, Writer, and artist
I wonder still if there more to life
I hear the wind blowing outside my window
I see God's wonder all around me.
I want peace on earth
I am Aastah
I pretend that I can fly
I feel the wind playing with my hair
I touch your hand but still
I worry about the world around me
I cry for my children
I am Aastah
I understand everything happens for a reason
I say God in time will make a way
I dream to travel one day
I try to learn all I can
I hope for peace on earth and inside of me.
I am Aastah

I Will Always Love You From Afar

The minutes creep into hours,
and days into weeks,
and weeks into months
and months into years.
And yet, I linger from afar.

Your words are many, efforts are few.
I love you means naught without actions.
They are mere words blowing in the breeze.
But until that time,
I will always love you from afar
or until death do we part.

Two Roads

We all have choices to make.
Deep down, we know what we can live with,
and what we have to let go.
There are two roads in front of us,
we must choose what road we take.
And no matter how hard it is,
sometimes the only choice we are left with is I Love You, goodbye.
