Te Amo

I love the way you look at me
I see right into you eyes
You don’t see me like some others do
With their rumors and their lies

I find it hard to believe
That anyone could ever love me
The way you care proves me wrong
Your kiss makes it easy to see

Without you
Where would I be?
What would life be like
If you weren’t there to hold me?

And So I Saw...

The passion in their eyes
The sweetness in their kiss
They calmly hold each other tight,
Afraid to say goodbye
Yet they remember, gratefully,
The next bell will unite them again.

Why does this make me smile so
And bring warmth into my heart?
Maybe witnessing this gives me hope
Maybe now I can finally see.

Distant Heart

Your sun may be clouded
My sun may be bright
But I know that we see
The same moon tonight

I climb on the roof
And I gaze at the stars
Hoping you can also see
Planet Mars

No matter the distance
Near or apart
Just know that you will
Always be in my heart

Fragile

Tears running down her cheek
So many hurtful words
So many left unsaid
Eyes swollen with the agony of his memory.

Life:
A horrific nightmare
Feelings:
Dead to all
Heart:
Broken to pieces
She's fragile and ready to fall.

Eyes dripping with sadness
Her heart growing colder than ice
Out the window and into the night
Swearing the last tears were cried.

Life:
A horrific nightmare
Feelings:
Dead to all
Heart:
Broken to pieces
She's fragile and ready to fall.

Losing control of all emotions
Sanity slipping from her fingers
Wanting memories of him to leave
Wishing the pain would wash away.

Life:
A horrific nightmare
Feelings:
Dead to all
Heart:
Broken to pieces
She's fragile and ready to fall.

Laceration

Snatching them by their head
Pinning them to the ground
Tearing off their limbs
Pouring water on their wounds
Standing up and carrying them inside
Showing them to your mother
She stares and says:
“What did you do to those poor ants?”

Realization

The water is becoming clear
No more muck
No more confusion

I can see
Complete clarity
Complete grasp

It's all coming to me now
The fog is clearing
It's so obvious

Now I understand

Hurt By Thoughts

Abusive words
Thoughts read aloud
A shot to my heart

They said:
I'm the problem in this world
I'm the rock in their shoe
I'm breaking them apart
I'm their problem
Maybe it's true

Lost in depression
Sicker than death
It hurts like it, too.

They said:
I'm the problem in this world
I'm the rock in their shoe
I'm breaking them apart
I'm their problem
Maybe it's true

Depression sinking deeper
My sanity gone
Lost control of myself

They said:
I'm the problem in this world
I'm the rock in their shoe
I'm breaking them apart
I'm their problem
Maybe it's true

Lost everything in life
Struggled for acceptance
Instead a stab in my back

All because they said:
I'm the problem in this world
I'm the rock in their shoe
I'm breaking them apart
I'm their problem
Maybe it's true.

Burn It Away

Those bad memories
They burn so deep
It hurts so bad
Make them stop
Make the tears freeze and forget
All the pain I feel
All this regret revealed
Burn it away

Oh, Captain, Captain

You think there will be a next time?
You've betrayed my trust
It feels like it was all lust
to you and I can not stand
These emotions at hand
I don't want to hurt
So why would I revert
back to this again?

An Ode To the Hottest Sauce In the Universe

I run
I scream
I cry
I release
I fall
I crawl
I heave

You win.
