Last Call

I'll change my star sign
A thousand times, what's one more?
It shines through summertime

Frozen, recoiled and glacial
Take a shot into the light
And melt yourself a river

Guilt is shattered inside
This glass shouldn't be worrisome
Help rebuild my penitency

Measured advances in moments
Last call, I'm imperative
But my scales are nearly broken

Autunm appears threatening
First of all, of a good time
But also a missed opportunity

Terrible Trio

I burned both ends of my candle
It's been raining for a while, no promise of letting up
I stumble off the pavement with reckless abandon for the weather
This jaded match stick has served it's purpose.

I enjoy the distant shouting
I'm not a fault, I'm primarily a bullet
Trained to kill off any hope of reaching final velocity
And secondarily a death sentence.

Where do I call home?
Selfish, Spoilt and Lazy; the terrible trio
Taking our drinks for granted but memories are left behind
And we're all out of straws.

Take me back 32 centuries
This bathtub is filled over months
Now years; a masterpiece of the highest caliber
Part the red sea with sins.

A panic, a scramble for land,
Swimming in circles, I'm lost at sea
These weights pull me down, I'm sinking further,
It's strangely light outside.

Don'T You

Don't you feel the same as I do?
Words flow out, but their meaning is lost
In voids of hate, for everything
But you; I stutter along
To my midnight black travels into pitfalls
That get deeper the further I fall...

Don't you feel the same as I do?
Or did I simply miss the target?
Practice makes perfect
But I'm not getting any better in my eyes
And you don't need to practice lying...

Please don't feel the same as I do,
I thought you wouldn't understand
Me and the drawings on my wrist
You empty your thoughts
Through spilt ink on white carpets
Even though you said you couldn't paint...

I knew you couldn't feel the same as I do
White lies you showed me and ripped out of trust
Suffocating on sirens,
Hugging my throat and my ears
And my eyes don't see the same anymore...

Nobody feels the same as I do
And thank God they don't see what I see in me
Thoughts trapped inside a vortex
Shivering in panicked mannerisms
Which freeze my tongue to the words I could never say.

Penguin Meat

Cutting up hints of walking out
And poisoning festivities in warm blood
Alexander's tragic demise builds opportunity
But short-lived empires collapse in vain

Living off penguin meat
Autumn winds freeze my soul
I'm hibernating through summer
Then sleepwalking 'til we meet again

Planning out a damned future
It doesn't add up, I can't add it up
Danger in numbers, chaos in retrospect
Looking for a god to save me

There is no god, he makes spineless choices
But with two knives in each of our backs
We are the devil, hopeless and indecisive
I'll worship my own romance

Arranging a choir to sign us off
A broken swansong, (an atonal mess)
The emperor cries betrayal in the morning
While vultures sing of repair
