Heart's Wings

Why chance
to open one’s heart
at the risk of loss
of invested feelings?

Guarded hearts
do not get wounded
but neither do they soar
like eagles on the wind

To risk is to gain
or sometime lose
but less loss than
never having wings

Comfort

Your love
Like a warm winter blanket
Envelopes me
And takes all cares away

Your touch
Flows through my body
Like morphine
Easing my stress and pain

Your spirit
Lifting me up and away
Reminding me
That worldly thing matter not

Your love
Source of my comfort
Heals me
And feeds my soul

Nana

Pure joy,
Two generations down
Sweet child
Blessings abound

Innocent smile
Laughs, giggles
Abundant energy
And many wiggles

Daughter of my daughter,
Same beautiful eyes.
Gift from heaven
A wondrous prize

Every day a new wonder
Too fast do you grow
I dare not blink
grown before you know

Ocean Mystery

Azure skies
Alabaster sands
Emerald seas
Scent of comfort
From my earliest days

Surf sounds
To ease worldly pains
Ocean fragrance
Soothes and calms
Beach therapy for the soul

The sea
And my soul
Intertwined from birth
Drawn to shores
Like moth to flame

Rhythmic waves
On sandy edge
Like the heartbeat
Of a mother
Calms a child

My Missing Piece

Now that we have had the miracle
Of finding each other on this incredible journey
Having seen how our embraces
Flow and fit as if part of a master plan
We are one, complete and whole

To release our hold even for a moment
To go out in the world alone
Contrasts with our intimate bond
Feeling as though a part of me is missing
A void that hungers to be filled only by you

We are far better together
Greater than the sum of just two
Love’s overwhelming wonder and power
Empower us to overcome worldly troubles
And find strength that neither of us had alone

You are my missing piece
The one that fills the emptiness in me,
An emptiness so great of that I could not measure
Until it was filled by your grace and love
You and you alone make me whole

One Kiss

How can you say so much with one kiss?
It's as if you can express your thoughts as we touch so closely with our lips.
Tongues touch, sweet nibbles abound, a whole story told without words.
Tenderness beyond description,
time seems to slow to a stop,
only the rhythm of our breathing marks its passage

Two Souls

Two sets of lips
Touch gently in the night,
Two hearts beat with a thrill
Romantic beginnings are powerful,
Sensual, invigorating, intimidating
And make life so vibrant and worth living

Two minds intertwine
Striving to learn each other's pasts
Dreams, likes, dislikes and passions
Excited about future
Fearing missteps to ruin it all
But blazing ahead full of hope

Two bodies yearning
For touch and kiss
Flushed with passion and arousal
Anticipating the next sensation
Taken on the next path of a sensual journey
Only as two lovers can do

Two lonely souls
Yearning for another
To fill the holes that sometimes
They never knew they had
Companions for life's journey
To intimately share

Night's Caresses

Your radiant smile
Like the sun
Melts me
Into a puddle of desire

Heating my heart
Making my blood
Boil
With passion

Two bodies together
Heat upon heat
Sweet sweat
Of lovers

Unbridled sensations
Mouths wet
Sweet honeypot
Wetter still

Time stops
Only the two
Exist for the passions
Until the morning sun

Awakening

Emergency over,
crisis resolved,
body mended in part.
The quiet time allows reflection,
a mirror held to my eyes to see

What is really important?
Career? Ego? Self?
Inventions of man,
all puffed up
but empty inside

The walls
come down
crushing the old
And allowing
The new to unfold

The new is actually
the old renewed
Love, family, friends,
relationships, compassion...
To care for others with golden rule

A new life unfolds
before these eyes,
new vision,
a fresh paradigm
to chart my fresh course for life

I've been blessed
with a chance
for new beginning,
laced with hope
and wonder anew.

Your Touch

Silky soft
Intimate moment
Your tender touch
Moves me
Beyond description

Love flows
Through your fingertips
And into my warm
Sensitive skin
Straight to my heart

Gentle caresses
Across my body
Reflect your heart
And your steadfast love
Calming my wounded spirit

Lips to lips
Breast to chest
I feel every point
Of your body’s touch
Fanning the flames of my love

When you
Are far away
Taking your touch with you
I feel incomplete
And crave for you to be near

My heart
Leaps at the instant
That your hand touches
My humble self
And I rejoice anew
