This poem is about the connection and life dance that I have had with the ocean since birth. I was born next to the ocean and it imprinted itself on me... I am drawn to it like moth to flame.

Azure skies Alabaster sands Emerald seas Scent of comfort From my earliest days Surf sounds To ease worldly pains Ocean fragrance Soothes and calms Beach therapy for the soul The sea And my soul Intertwined from birth Drawn to shores Like moth to flame Rhythmic waves On sandy edge Like the heartbeat Of a mother Calms a child TLR 8-6-17

I love this! I, too, have a special connection with the coast. Everything about it! Beautiful description!

Thanks Anna! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was visiting my daughter and Granddaughter in the panhandle of Florida and I was again moved by the ocean’s seduction, it’s grandeur. It was an easy write when so inspired

Hello Tom, your Ocean Mystery poem is beautiful. I like the whole poem, certain verses speak to me. The second, third, and fourth are the verses that speaks to me. I like the water I like the sound of the waves it is a soothing sound for the soul. I miss the water, I can stare at it for hours. Have a nice day my friend.

Wonderful love poem Tom, you are a lucky man. Inlanders play the sounds of the ocean caressing the shore to loll themselves to sleep and dream of her.

Thanks Maureen... I hadn't thought of it as a love poem originally but you are absolutely correct, it has been an ongoing romance all of my life. While I don't live on the water I have always been within an hour's drive to get an occasional ocean fix.
