Astronomical

I live in deep space
But you cannot follow me
To live in the stars

I Am a Person

There are certain people I like to hang out with, that I could hang out with all day, every day. And there are some people I could hang out with for five minutes and be good for the next day or two. I won’t list any names.
People always think that I’m interested in what they are, even when I’m not. They continuously shovel their thoughts into my head and forcefully pour their lives down my throat. I guess I should be honored that people are sharing their thoughts and problems with me, but I'm not. Am I qualified to know that you have a UTI? Is it really necessary to critique my outfit, when I’ve said repeatedly that I don’t care about how I look?
	Why me?
Why must you spew forth the oil of your life, contaminating the water of mine?
	Why me?
Why must you make a big ordeal about my water bottle, but joke that you’re not going to confiscate it? Why must you humiliate me? I already didn’t like you, and now I hate you.
I hate you for making me feel singled out.
I hate you for making me feel like an idiot.
I hate you for calling me out on something everyone does.
I hate you for thinking that I am a psychologist or a counselor.
I hate you for involving me into quarrels and relationships.
I hate you for rejecting me from conversations and then being bitter when I don't partake.
I hate you for believing that I am just okay with this wishy-washy nonsense.
I hate you for not understanding that I have feelings, and a life, and a voice, and a logical part of my brain that is telling me to stop talking to you because this is an unhealthy relationship.
I hate you for making me believe that I am not special.
I hate you for making me know that I am not special. That I will not amount to anything other than what you call me.
I hate you for making me feel that I don’t belong. That I’m not smart enough or cool enough.
I hate you for not seeing me as a person.

The City of Insanity

In my city, people don't notice the children in abusive homes or living on the street. They only notice that their taxes are going up.
In my city, people don't notice if teenagers are drinking, or doing drugs, or smoking cigarette. They only notice that it's taking longer for the weather to come on the news.
In my city, people don't help the "dumber" kids become smarter. They only praise the smart kids.
In my city, people don't notice the children who have to walk to school, rain or shine, windy or snowy. They only notice that the streets are being rebuilt.
In my city, people don't care if you're having a bad day and don't want to go to work or school. They only notice that you're not there.
In my city, people don't notice if you always order a black coffee at Starbucks. They only notice your wallet.
In my city, people don't notice the kids who don't have food at their house. They only notice that their produce is spoiling in larger contents.
In my city, no one notices when someone stops doing what is normal. They only notice when they die.
In my city, no one notices the victims of cyberbullying. They only notice a drop in their bills.
in my city, people don't notice individuals. They only see the stereotypes.

I'M Alive

Every day of the week
a battle is going on with me
There are no guns,
or ruins to see

There is just me,
With a smile on my face
There is just me
I am not in place

I'm alive, and my foe
is the cursed death
He fights to rule over
my very last breath

Life is a struggle, a battle
and so much more
I am alive, but even
that can be a chore

I am a warrior
My armor is my voice
And when I die,
It will be my choice

Petals

Pick a flower,
Any one,
Pluck a petal,
Pull for fun

Pick a girl,
Any one,
Pluck a heart,
Pull for fun

Why would someone chose a daisy
compared to a r

You could've had any flower,
why couldn't it have been
the ugly one?

Confused Hate For Love

I used to think that people
would yell out of love
Out of this deep darkness
that they were trying to breach
I used to think that shouting
Was showing love
I thought it was saying
"I love you" by
trying to remain in
this world, and not
succumbing to the chasm
of darkness
I thought that yelling
was okay to do,
because it was all
I knew

I was wrong.

Down

I am an ocean. Quiet and calm on the outside,
But throw a stone and I become choppy, obnoxious, and full of ripples.
I am the ocean.
