Six Seconds

Breathe in, breathe out
You wish life was that easy
In one, two, three
Take in your colourful pills
Then four, five, six
You’ll fall into a never-ending sleep…

Never Reached 19

I was just eighteen
Then i wanted to be six
Guess this is the end.

Marco Polo

Marco! Marco! He said
No polo, just the voices inside his head
Marco! Marco! That one person said
And asked, “why aren’t you dead?”

Traveller

Maybe if I started to use the “he”
They’d never think that it’s actually me
Because whenever I would use “she”
I’m being a “girl”, emotional and cheesy
But, what if I use the “it”?
Could that probably mean I’m nothing?
Maybe I should not use anything?
Does that mean I should stop writing?
When I say writing, you’d think,
She’s not even one, definitely needs a shrink
But who needs one
When tomorrow you won’t even see the sun?
And long before it is even dawn
I would travel the void, all alone…

Don'T, Tell the Others

Fame, money, and sex
These the cards on your decks?
Living many secret lives
Until one of which arrives?

One stupendous event
Led me into getting all of them
In a dark alley, two blocks from here
A hunter and his pet came near

The man told me of his king,
Offering blood, to which his pet sing
"Seat beside him, gain his army"
He said this, also hinting at immunity

Not only did I gain the three,
It's a life one couldn't afford 'til it's free
The world of shadows brought that to me
Speed and immortality, you’d know what I’ve come to be

I must not go back
The lights are no longer for me.
Don't tell this to the pack,
The secret life I live, I must now flee…

No More

Take your seats, make yourselves feel comfortable,
In two minutes, think of something beautiful,
Sunsets, genuine people and smiles,
You think of marvelous things around,
Never once considering that you could be one,
Perhaps it is because of all the years,
Those agonizing years walking this earth,
The path had always been made of broken shards,
No wonder why you bled out all your beauty inside...

Not a Poem

This is not a poem.
I don't even know
Why I'm writing this.
My poem "Chatter Shatter"
Just suddenly disappeared.
It goes like this,
"In small towns, there are big gossips
Streaming down the river of lies,
Fueling the smallest of minds,
These are spread, often contagious,
Watch out for the symptoms,
Make no one suspicious,
Words embedded in these lies travel fast,
Perhaps, faster than their minds could grasp,
Often times, people chatter so loud,
Oh, this town! It’s never sound,
Your skin? Too dark! Too pale!
Worry not! Pills are always for sale!
You’re too thick! Too thin!
Quick! Find an unhealthy diet routine!
Stick with these tips and tricks,
Otherwise, you won’t fit in,
You screamed, Kindness and Individuality!
Oh, dear! I truly am sorry.
We only accept conventional standards in this society."
WHY DID IT DISAPPEAR?

Writing

Back then you wrote with pencils,
At the bottom of these are erasers,
These are for your mistakes,
All the errors in your paper,
Then you so eagerly write with pens,
Words in inks are hard to erase!
You should have taken your time with the pencils…

Great Wall

"Who's your 'the one that got away'?", Katy asked.
"I don't know," he shrugged.
"No one has ever really come to ever go away."
"Maybe it's because you're too scared to open the door," you said with a glare.
"Perhaps there's no door or window at all. Just walls."

The Least We Can Do

When darkness arrive,
Let your light be known to mine,
For we lived in the cold woods
Where fright should be felt,
While others write poems about rain,
We lived through numerous hurricanes,
Many take a deep dive in the lake
While we got pushed into rushing rivers,
We endure tears, bruises and marks at night
That's all right, at least we tried with our might.
