Her

She makes the room feel full and warm,
The presence she has forced me to look and that is what I was feeling,
The lonely feeling I’ve had ever since I understood not everybody loves one another,
We pick and choose in ways that just veil our hypocrisy or we’re simply bitter,
Just by looking at her this pain became so alien it didn’t hurt,
I couldn’t even recognize my life anymore,
Nothing was clear but the fact that I had changed,
She changed my life and she didn’t even see me,
When I drifted back into my body after being blown out of my own mind I thought about happiness,
It captured my heart entirely to imagine it,
And I never thought for a second that I would be like this,
I’ve played make-belief throughout my life,
Wearing a mask and acting out a life that I wanted to believe in,
Then this vision came to me,
I was witness to my own rapture,
All of this was because I saw her.

I Found a Way For You To See Me

I'm sorry,
it's not easy being my girl,
when I'm the kind of guy who gets lost,
in my own mind,
but you stay by me,
even though you say you have trouble,
finding me,
there has to be away,
or maybe a key,
for you to hold,
to plug-in,
and unlock me,
forget it,
I'll open the door myself,
I invite you in,
even though I'm afraid,
don't be afraid,
even if there is no light,
there's the sun,
and holding hands,
we will make way,
through the clutter in my home,
to the other side,
where we will find the light,
then we will see,
I'll see you and you'll see me.

We Need To Talk

I don't want things the way you do,
and that's the where our frustration comes from,
But I know,
I think about it,
I can explain myself,
to you,
from here,
we can talk,
we can ask each other,
for our reasoning,
being,
love,
it can be,
whatever we want,
we need to talk.

Dear Angel

My darlin' Angel,
Sometimes you get this look,
That makes my world go cold,
Like a statue with no expression,
You got a look that can excite or take my soul,
Baby, please tell me what's goin' on,
Inside of your mind,
Cause' it frightens me to stare back,
Into your dead-light eyes,
Angel don't you know,
That eyes like yours,
They can excite or take my soul,
Please have mercy, dear Angel,
Before your gaze turns my heart to stone,
You are the fire that lights my world,
But those dead-light eyes,
They're more like lightnin' striking me down twice,
All the good and all the bad,
So please my dear Angel have mercy on my soul.

Brush

Tossing as much positivity,
into the air,
as possible,
to sugarcoat all,
the bitter negativity inside,
will leave,
a cavity.
