Dear Angel

My darlin' Angel,
Sometimes you get this look,
That makes my world go cold,
Like a statue with no expression,
You got a look that can excite or take my soul,
Baby, please tell me what's goin' on,
Inside of your mind,
Cause' it frightens me to stare back,
Into your dead-light eyes,
Angel don't you know,
That eyes like yours,
They can excite or take my soul,
Please have mercy, dear Angel,
Before your gaze turns my heart to stone,
You are the fire that lights my world,
But those dead-light eyes,
They're more like lightnin' striking me down twice,
All the good and all the bad,
So please my dear Angel have mercy on my soul.
