Jacqueline Sanchez Poem
A beast lives within
Ready to burst like a ticking time bomb
It has been caged for months, perhaps even years starving and waiting patiently to make its grand escape
It has been in a dark place desolate and alone where no one can hear it's screeching cries and roars
Occasionally it bares its fangs and tears into the soul trying to rip its way out
The beast no longer wants to be caged and trapped it wants to be free and thrive in all its dark glory
This is the beast that lives within

Jacqueline Sanchez Poem
You walked in with a special kind of vibe
Something I never felt, made me feel alive
Carefree and funny, my kind of guy
Wavy chocolate hair with those stunning eyes
Made me feel like my past pains were all just a lie
I thought you might have been the right guy
The guy to conversate about the world and galaxies
The guy to give me butterflies in my tummy
The guy to make me want to change and love myself
The guy to make me fall in love for the first time
But in the end you were just like the other guys
