South African Lockdown

South African lockdown

Gone is the heave, the bustle and the crowds
The pavements are weeping like widows without sounds
The governments are ruling with their heads in the clouds
We should not be submissive wearing fear as our shrouds
Shops and small business are collecting dust,
certain of finally all going bust.
Who then will take care of the poor and oppressed?
while the elite dressed in their opulence remain so blessed!
Lockdowns and spikes, confusion and fear
uncertainty, poverty, protest and crime become clear
stand on your balconies, porches or steps, shout out your anger at being so misled
don’t clap for key staff members but for your freedoms instead
What is the virus which has so much clout
We are starting to question it has left us in doubt
Fear is holding us hostage with dread
We need to be working as who buys the bread?
Ease off the peddle of this vicious control
you have each country stuck in a hole
We will not be silenced our voices will be heard
We will not go down without a fight this is absurd
Release these clasps
Remove these masks
We were born free as birds
Our anger is stirred our vision not blurred

Melanie

Disheveled and dirty she sat
A guy walking by just spat
It caught her off guard as she wiped it away
Wanted to move but decided to stay

She looked forlorn and beat
Begging for a bite to eat
I approached and offered her a tenner
Her mind I wanted to enter

I asked for her name as I gave her fag
Bent over and lit it she was clutching her bag.
"Melanie," she said as I lit her smoke
She was well educated I knew when she spoke.

The pavements were bursting with tourists
Doctors, bankers, and jurists
Buskers Acrobats, jugglers, and clowns
Filled the West End with sounds

Saturday night as busy as ever
The pickpockets thought they were clever
Approaching the people with stealth
Lining their pockets with stolen wealth.

I drowned it all out
Wondered what she was all about
I asked if she wanted some food
I saw she relaxed, that was good.

My wife bought her burger and fries
I saw the gratitude in her eyes.
I wanted to help this woman on the streets
She had more potential than one normally meets.

She once was a doctor you know
She lost her husband and her daughter
Life dealt her a mighty blow
She said between bites and some water

I asked where she would spend the night
On the pavement she said, it's alright.
I was glad it was summer.
I thought as I dialed the number

My friend who runs a shelter answered the phone
This was now up to me I would not leave her alone.
Melanie has now fully recovered
A brilliant surgeon we discovered.

The shelter still runs with a steady flow
Destitute People come and go
Melanie contributes to the cause
Fund raisers thunder applause.

You never know who is down and out
Help, No one should go without.

What Evil Promise Did His Time Bring

Demon in disguise with captivating dark-brown eyes,
He is gentle and focused, for you are his prize.
Hypnotic smile across his lips, with thrust of hips and eloquence,
He has broken your defence with confidence.

His trophy, your heart, he has won!
Candlelit dinners, flowers, romance
Passionate sex, holidays in the sun
Rings on the fingers you are now one.

Traditional promise and a couple of kids
It's all that matters, they have first dibs
A home, a car, and a dog,
Your life has begun as one hard slog.

Welcome to your life's routine
You are no longer sixteen
Are you still his queen?
What evil will his time bring?

Compliments ushered out the door
What are you thinking mopping the floor
Wiping up vomit, stumbling over toys
Is this what life is with all its joys?

What evil promise did his time bring?

Sex is a job, no longer a pleasure,
Your kids are precious your life's treasure,
He is always late, arrogant and rude,
You thought it was your fault for being such a prude.

So you take a few drinks to feel better,
While is off on business like a trend setter.
He is always failing at what he does,
You have lost it, the incredible buzz.

Venomous insults, frequent and rapid they leak
Like a demon possessed allow him to speak
Scarlet embarrassment paints your cheeks,
He has become an uncontrollable freak.

When the kids get older you promise to leave,
In order to feel better, your lie you believe,
you think he will change? are you so naive?
It is only yourself you begin to deceive.

A few nightly slaps, and a couple of bruises,
When for no reason his temper he loses.
The demon in disguise has brought about a promise of hell.
Nowhere to run to, no one to tell.

Subvert

Subvert
Their plot is cleverly disguised, patiently abiding time,
Whilst higher on the economy they climb
Making dime their only crime
They have almost succeeded they’re on their prime.
Job losses loom
Internet sales boom
Diverting blame they have no shame
Greed and corruption The final game
They have a plan, a mission statement if you must.
You are mad if them you trust.
They show their strength with forced suppression
the world is plunged in Great Depression
Question their agenda a little bit more
Do what you can to even the score.

Spin the Lie

When I see Matt Hancock spin his lie
I can’t stop sing at his pink tie
He stands there like a demon telling us all what to do
He thinks we are stupid and don’t have a clue.

Take your restrictions your graphs and your tiers
You can’t control us all with your COVID-19 fears
It’s over now we have had enough
Shows us statistics we are calling your bluff.

We can’t be free with these measures In place
We are sick and tired of this nonsense give us some space
We can’t see our family other than Christmas?
We care, cause we see how you destroy our business.

If this is not an outreach of power the world has seen
Why do your worry about those who oppose the vaccine?

The Big Agenda

We have all gotten used to wearing our masks just like we do our bras and panties, now we need get used to wearing a muzzle in case we rub the "Woke" and "Snowflakes" up the wrong way.

So many people think they are WOKE they are actually fast asleep because while all this "woking and snowflaking" is going on, they are taking away your right to be "woke and or to be a snowflake" WAKE UP, then you will see how all this BIG AGENDA is playing out.
We are being pushed into a false sense of democracy and freedom, all you have are promises of how they are going to be easing lockdowns, based on if you do this or that. Is that not an infringement on your rights?
Haha, You are in for a rude AWAKENING, that is how awake you should be.
Because I say it like it is, I always land up rubbing people up the wrong way, but I honestly do not care.

I feel this is all rotten, it is like a box of bad apples and everyone thinks they are red and bright and crunchy, but if you take the top tray off you see a whole lot of rotten, brown, mouldy apples.
You know this is the the same senario as if you are telling your friend or someone else that their husband/wife/partner is a cheat, they attack you because they are in denial and a few months later you read or find out. Yes, that husband/ wife/partner was a cheat and they got divorced. Nothing ever comes back to, I was warned. All you then see are regrets, tears and nasty little comments.
If you cannot see what is going on here you are clearly blind.
They are blocking you from speaking, from protesting, from having a voice. They want us to stay inside, like muppets eating take outs, (with their handouts because they are killing your jobs) watching AMAZON movies and Netflix. While they destroy the other entertainment sectors and so it goes. Soon you will too afraid to go out and do your thing, because they would have conditioned you to do so. IF YOU STOP TO LOOK AT HOW PEOPLE ACT YOU WILL SEE THIS TO BE TRUTHFUL. THEY ARE SCARED OF THEIR OWN SHADOW.
Well I went into M&S in the peak of the virus, I held onto the trolley with my mask on, and as I was hungry I opened the sandwhich and ate half of it while shopping, I know they have cameras so I know they know I was not stealing I was hungry. Point is, that I ate it with my dirty hands. Maybe I am immune to the virus as I am to bull.
I am as awake as I need to be.
I know there is a virus out there, how do I know because I have been told? No because I have had it in December of 2019 and all I lost was my sense of smell, NOT MY ABILITY TO REASON. Nothing has ever shut down the world, not even war times. What then is this?

Did it mean I have to now stay inside like an idiot without a brain to think? No
Did it mean I could not go to a wedding? yes, well the virus will attack you at a wedding but not a supermarket, you see it sticks to metal but not to cardboard and paper like letters how else would amazon get bigger and richer? haha
Did it mean I could not go into a restaurant to eat a meal? Yes, because they do not want us to gather, it will spread. Spread this, thick and fast. How does a virus understand a curfew?
They want to keep us thinking we need to fear this virus, run and get vaccinated, over and over, and make them even richer. Rich in the knowledge that they have successfully controlled you into doing what they want. Once the lockdowns are lifted, our will be in June and then come back again in the winter what will you do? What are you going to do next, have the digital vaccine?
Next came the census. WOW and how bloody intrusive. They are telling you to complete it or get a £1000,00 fine. They are asking you too much information, things they have never asked before. These measure are here to control and reset everything. Wakey- Wakey.
This is the way out, vacine maxine, passports and digital control.
I type this and smile because. I have now taken these platform off my phone. I have my computer and If I do not use facebook again I do not give a flying kite in the sky.
And also I do not message or call on messenger. They more they make you use something, or you get so hooked to using something, the more control you give them. This is the digital addiction age. They have taken so many freedoms away it is not funny anymore, nor is it acceptable. Who would have ever thought we would see this in our life time? Not me.

Do as you are told,
relinquish your right to be brave and bold
Wear your mask, take the vacine,
Declare to the powers where you have been,

Do not protest, dare not have an opinion,
You are our prisoner now, our little minion
wake up and take back what it righfully yours
Or lose your voice for ever behind these closed doors.

Stand up united hand please have your say,
United and steadfast they can't have their way.
I hate these restricions that do not make sense,
I may be outspoken but I am not dense.

It is my freedom and rights that I want,
I will not salute an ignorant commandant.

Maxine

Hey Maxine will you get your passport with the vaccine?
it keeps a tab of where you have been.
If you don't take it, you can't go out
How's that even legal, are you going to shout?

the algorithms block my post
They prefer pictures and food the most
I don't worry what they think
Lower than them I will not sink

I won't take the vaccine to live my life
I believe in freedom, not tyranny and strife.

The World Is a Small Plane

I have travelled through the cluttered corridors of my tired mind countless times.
I have reached deep into the dark abyss of my captive soul and in that profoundly disturbing darkness, I went searching to find myself.
I heard the screeching of my soul in the claws of despair and surrender.
I was helpless held captive in the razor sharp shell, a prison with no bars.
My own prison created out of rebellion and fear.
The sun a dizzy circle behind the misty clouds,
like thundering waves lashing anger on the shore
I rose to find myself.

I have released my shackled soul.
No longer in the shadows of the gloom.
No longer in the emptiness of fear.
No longer do tears grace or stain my attractive face
instead, I have now travelled all over the place.

I hail from the birth of western civilization, of poetry,
hyperbole and Philosophy, and Sapphic love no less.
I have traversed the great expanse to the southernmost tip of Africa where two oceans the Atlantic and Indian meet.
That's where I grew up.
I lived in Cape Town,
where the penguins roam free on the boulders,
where Chapman's Peak and Table Mountain still stand proud.
London is now my home. It's is the pulse, my heart beat it's my city.
I love my London.

I have travelled through my memories to all the Places that I have been
and goodness gracious what have these two eyes seen?
I went to see the pandas eating bamboo leaves,
the famous statue of my Hero, Bruce Lee in Hong Kong.
I have sat under the hanger bridge,
snapped the Blue Mountains and watched the Tasmanian devil eat.
The Sydney Opera house is a must see.
The earthquake in Christ church 26 Dec 2010
left me paralyzed with fear
don't want to mess
with Mother Nature
when she shifts her gears.
Off to Akaroa on the boat
watching little dolphin’s
flick and frolic to and fro.

I saw the painted ladies
and travelled on the tram, my favourite city
San Fran.
I locked myself up in Alcatraz for a pic and had the best clam chowder first time in my life at the Fisherman’s Wharf.
I went to the Castro, Harvey Milk, I salute you. Thank you. RIP.
What splendid sight the Golden Gate Bridge,
it roared with movement under the strain of the cars.

I stood in awe under the majestic El Capitan
in the snow covered Yosemite's.

The discovery Cove in Orlando was out of this world a fond and unforgettable memory swimming with Capricorn the dolphin.

In the city of angels, LA I saw the stars digs and posed in rodeo drive
pretending to be Julia in the shops, ate at farmers market met Jesse Metcalfe, his pic on my wall.

Liberty inside her crown, I stood proudly
the harbour below profound
Empire State Building, Central Park
and the two twin towers, a memory fixed in my head.
I was there the year before they went down.

Atlantic City, to the casino of course. Trump Plaza I lost and at Caesar's palace, I replenished my dosh. I overindulged in shrimp.
Ice Blocks floated on the Atlantic sea. It was winter when I went there.
Chicago saw me meet my relatives, it was a nice time indeed.
Lake Michigan frozen covered in ice.

I wondered the Las Vegas boulevards, walking in and out of casinos
tempting my Lady
She did bring me luck.
I observed the fountains dance from the comfort of my room.
The iconic Bellagio.
And on this 6th trip there I finally made it to Freemont Street.
A reminiscent era, no doubt.

On horseback through red rock canyon with the Cowboys, I shall not forget.
The awesome Grand Canyon is high on my list.
But that little plane is quite scary like a fly hovering with two propellers in the sky.

The water Jacuzzi villas in the Maldives the blue of the Grand Bahamas, and pure white sand.

Florida for Micky, Miami too.

I have visited the ancient Mayan ruins in Chechen Itza,
tasted tequila and swam in the hidden cenotes of Mexico
I have acquired a taste for Mojitos.

I have seen the black bears in Banff,
and marvelled at the splendour of Lake Louise and her transparency
in the morning a reflection of the mountains in her mirror.
The thunderous applause
of the Niagra falls
had me floored.
I have crossed with excited trepidation the Capilliano suspended bridge and watched the magnificent whales in the open sea in Vancouver.
I have crossed the Rocky Mountains.

The sunset in Mykonos
Serifos, Zakynthos, Amorgos, Santorini and Crete shots of ouzo in Athens.

I have been to Rome, the Trevi fountain has my wish and coin,
The Colosseum was my favourite place.
The leaning tower of Pizza had me in stitches
as I tried with all the others posing for pictures
to hold her up.

Mona Lisa never smiled at me, I believe she has no teeth,
the best coffee I have had was under the Eiffel tower.

I been to Anne Franks in Amsterdam,
The silence still whispers
Sex and weed is served almost everywhere.

I have driven the snow mobile across blankets of white crusted ice,
proudly I have driven my sleigh with the huskies. I love dogs.
I have seen the northern lights, sky painted green, with hints of purple
almost magical.
Where the day is short and almost night.
Lap Land was another favourite of mine

Geneva was an attraction with the big chair, and all the flags.
United Nations and the WHO.
Chamonix made me dizzy it was so high,
the famous toblerone peak was clearly in sight.

I have watched the lava flow from
Mount Etna, walked on the volcanic rock in Lanzarote,
Had the best pizza in Sicily awesome Taormina my favourite spot.
Poland,
Spain
Barcelona to name but a few.

I have clicked heels with the upper echelons of society,
Slept at the Ritz, The Savoy and the Dorchester,
I love hotels.

I have travelled through the corridors of my cluttered mind
and most of all I cherish all our memories of all the places visited with
my love by my side.

My corridors are filled with awesome fun,
my darkness is lifted it is now full of sun.
I have enjoyed clearing my mind,
my dream to travel the world
I have managed to make a reality
it has taken some time.

The world is but a small plane.
