A Letter To My Future Child

A LETTER TO MY FUTURE CHILD
I wonder if you will ever see me,
I wonder if one day you will exist,
I wonder if one day you see my smile,
You don't exist and might never
but the least I can do is promise you that I your father loves you unborn
Come and grow up in this world though I know it’ll be difficult for you
This world is full of good and evil
Though it’s not a good world but I admire to hold baby
Come and I will hold you like my mother never held me
I don't plan for your actual existence now
but if that happens and you find this world I live in
Don’t be diminished to let your dream fade

To my future darling get this right

Even if I don’t know your real face
Don’t abort my child when time comes
My son is so precious to my than a golden bar
My kid is like engine of my car and I can’t drive with him
He is the roof of my house, I can’t stay without it
He is my clothes I can’t walk naked
Don’t hurled my child into the pit
I would love my child with everything
I wouldn't want anything to ever hurt you
even know I know that will never be true
but the most I can do is keep you healthy and safe
because this world is a twisted place
which is why I never planned to bring you into this basket case

I hope that society accepts you for who you are
no matter your sex, orientation, gender,
because you are worth so much more
you are the only you that exists
you are more than what society tells you
you are the only one in charge of your truth
don't let society tell you are you are merely handsome or pretty
because these traits fade and are petty
it just matters how good your soul is

My future child listens to this
I will wish you to be a poet like your dad Masoni
I will wish you speak Good English like me
I will wish you make many friends like I do
I will like you to be polite like me but stand by your principles, son

Welcome In This Society

WELCOME TO THIS SOCIETY
Welcome to this society where the feces is more than the toilets
Welcome to this society where the bribes are more rampant in the church than in the street
Where security is GOOD around the politician than to the citizens
Where water is more at the sewage than in our homestead
Welcome to this society where mothers are the head of the families
As fathers follows after the children

Welcome to this society
Where the killings in the churches is more than in the city centers
Where mothers are called fathers and fathers called mothers
Welcome to this society
Where those who do right things are guilty
As those who do wrong are innocent

Welcome to this society
Where innocent people are more in jail
As the rich criminal are free
Welcome to this society
Where the rich have only two children
As the poor have more than ten children

Welcome to this society
Where politician promise us good health but they
Aim at selling as mosquito nets
Welcome to this society
Where deciding where to print the ballot papers is
The big issues in the country
Welcome to this society
Where getting an A in examination is not a big deal
Where the rich people drink bottled water
As poor people drink water from the sewage

Welcome to this society
Where the armed forces thinks that police men are just but watchmen
Welcome to this society where promises are more than what they does
Welcome to this society where Jacob Juma dies
But no concrete reason is given out
Where George Saitoti dies but everybody claims to have no hand in it
Where Nkaiserry can just die without notice
Where people pollute environment and nobody claims to have eaten Githeri

Welcome to this society
Where HIV/AIDS is not an issues but pregnancy is a country’s debate
Welcome to this society
Where the citizen sells their votes for only shillings
Where kariuki kills wafula as wekesa kills Njoki
Where otieno kills Mwende as kosgei kills Maina

Welcome to this society where insecurity is our daily bread
Where bombs are the drugs we are addicted to
Where the people don’t know the neighbors name
I love you my society and I hope things will change one day
As time is a master healer

Let us PRAY to fade this paradox
Paradox kills our society
Lets fight against corruption
Lets fight against expatriates’
Lets fight against bad governance
Since God gives a leaders but we choose
Let there be no blood shade and keep in mind
Stupid man soils his house in fire only with aim to kill a rat

She Is Dead

SHE IS DEAD I CANT SEE HER AGAIN

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.
Let aero planes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message Faith is Dead.
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves
.

faith was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out every one,
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun,
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods;
For nothing now can ever come to any good.
My niece faith is death

I Hate Her Love

I HATE HER LOVE

you mud me with words
from the deepest part of your heart
i love the way you strain
but i don't deserve it really

you have forgotten the meaning of love
you have masterminded the meaning of sex
you strain me too much
i don't deserve it really

the riders of horses
have dirtified the house
they enter without cleaning their hooves
they leave without washing utensils
i cant afford to use the same utensils
since i don't deserve it really

i hate you hunny
to be or not to be
that is reality
since i don't deserve it really

you hold me with passion
i die in your arms
but when i come to
i regret dear
since i don't deserve your love really

the reality comes dear
because of the jagged rocks beneath
standing hard and ready to stub your unsuspected bottom
swiftly scratched by the innocent hands
but i don't
deserve it dear

Standing Alone

STANDING ALONE

I can see the flower upon which my life grows, blooming into a rose.
See the hope and courage in the strength of the petals.
As long as I am, I will be.
The flower will never wilt or die.
As my life grows back, I shall become strong.

I shall become only dependent on one.
That one will be me.
I will rise with my petals high.
My life as a flower will bloom and prosper as I grow.
I may not be the pick of the patch, but I am just as handsome as the rest.

I will stand as one, but not a lonely soul.
The tears will be far from my smile
but love and care will be my shield

I Wish I Could Cry

I Wish I Could Cry

I just wish I could break down like a rolling stone from the mountain
let it all out, finally be found.

I'm tired of hiding from what hurts me more
either way I still feel like dirt and rejected.

I hate the fact that I can't cry just because am a man
day by day I'll sit and try but all in vein.

But it's all somewhere inside it can’t be seen,
refusing to come out, choosing to hide from the heart of mine.

If I could only show my true feelings,
my brain will be seen as a rotten carcasses by the road side.

How great it would be to relax,
look forward to the future and forget about the past.

When will it happen? I don't know,
but I'm ready for this moment, let the pain show.

How much is it going to take,
for me to finally give in and let my wall break.

One day I'll look up and stare at the sky,
and fully breakdown, finally feel myself cry

Dead Man Return Saying

My sons and daughters
You sing no song of daylight
For the sun is your enemy
You sing instead of shadows and darkness
And the memories of your midnight meetings

Turning twists and turns of events
Have rendered me sleepless
In grave you laid me to rest
Booms and bombs for lack of security
Gives me no peace as you said in my burial day
“Mzee in peace me”

You have forgotten the meaning of the real state
And masterminded the meaning of real estate
The love for the nation that I left
The flowers that beautified the nation
I can’t really see them again.

I love the way you promise my people
Good health but the doctor are still on strikes
Good education but the teachers are not paid
Fine security but most of them still die
My sons and daughters, what have you done after mzee?

My people died in Mpeketoni
My relatives died in Westgate
My children died for having nothing in the plate (unga)
My grandchildren died in Mandera
Your brothers died in Garissa
Oooooo my God, you deserve a whip
Did I carry my whip, what a waste you have done to my people?

I send you Baba
Go go go go rescue my people
Go whip out the corrupted culprits
Go give my people employment
Go give them food
Go beautify the nation by considering the environment
Go take them to Canaan, I send you

Victim of Love

When I set my eyes on you the first day
It wasn't the first time I was falling in love at first sight
The first lines I used on you and you went deep crazy
Forgive me, it wasn't the first time I was hitting on them
When I promised you heaven and you danced to my tune
Forgive me, it wasn't the first time I was promising anyway
When I told you, there was something in your eyes
Forgive me, I actually saw nothing
I was only a man of the deep ocean
Sent by my desires to swim
And I did swim anyway, so forgive me!

When I took you to the movies
I actually did not love movies that much
Forgive me, for I only wanted you as one
When I took you out to watch the football matches
I actually was not a lover of ball
Forgive me, you were my game
And I so much wanted a match from you
Out of all the processes in my organs
Melting my heart was actually not one of them
Forgive me, I lied
Catching a grenade for you was not within what I could do
But I said it anyway, and you fell deep in my muscles
Forgive me, I am walking away!

I know you did not see this coming
But it has come anyway
If you need more of me, play the memories a little
Not all men are like me
So don't judge them by my own nail
You can always love again
I was only a player, you my game
You fell in my match, but I didn't wish for a team
So away I carry my steps
Letting you out to the world of flesh
I never loved
I loved the game
But do not throw a stone
It might hit someone, maybe not me!

So as you read this letter
Judge not others by the sins I made
But I am still human
Maybe I shall love someday, someone, but not you
Move on, because life doesn't stop
Forgive me, Forgive my lies
Forgive the days I spent with you
Forgive the nights I promised you heaven
Away I carry my steps
To find another victim of love

Admitted To the Bar

Admitted this day of this date
Chains on my twos
Twisting pain for their gain
Again it has to rain
The reason for my confinement
They call it refinement
Am fresh in the room
The colleagues clap
Welcome by a slap
They fear not the snap
Taken by the secrete eye at cornet top
This day of this date
Am admitted to the bar
Drinks of alcoholic ammonia
That smell like a rained-on-pig
They call it refinement
The reason for my confinement
The fresh human dung
Can choke the beetle
Even a fly can't survive
Tommorow is that day of that date
To face the caped lord
With masked eyes
Ready to determine my conviction
Hate speech from the son of chief
Alcoholic son of a pastor
Criminal son of son CS security
the son of the alleged terror
the warden here comes listing
my heart beating
pain in veins looting
in the news heading
titles catchy bolding
son of peasant hurting
and admitted to the bar
he calls my name with respective rudeness
the son of a wise fool
from the lineage of harmless terrorist
hereby convicted for the following
objection of Justice
killing of dreams
murder of humility
robbery of kindness
stealing peace
looting pieces of peace
I am guilty
I am a walking killer,robber,murderer and looter
admitted to the bar
