Infatuation

I don’t know
whether it’s
something pious
or just an attraction
but all I know is
that you are a perfect contentment.
We have never met,
the pleasant hour,
the moment is awaited.
I have felt you
smiling..smiling
laughing..texting
each other all day long.
A smile comes over
whenever your text pops.
This feeling is strange
but it has it’s own beauty
and cupidity.
It is one of a kind
and I feel safe
as I have this unknown
thing on my mind.
Perplexed
whether you being an exception
or not at all special.
Although being similar, we differ
but who knows
what the destiny holds.
And I guess
I don’t want to know even,
because I can’t let
complications ruin this ecstasy
to reach an end.
But if there would be something
between me and you
and go with ways all new.
To give it an existence
and make it true
then maybe we can have
this beautiful story
of our life
rife with halcyon
and happy tides.
Where I just walk with you
walk down to aisle
holding your hands
feeling your fingers getting tighten
with mine.
Where I just come closer to you
sit beside you
lean upon you.
And if this is love
the hour must be stopped.

A Prostitute's Soliloquy

And then i wore the bangles
To invite them,
And there i was
A beautiful soul
Fearful heart
Ready to be played.
I cried inside
Deep within my thoughts,
I tried
But,
They dragged me down
Made me weak by the wind
And quite often how they came.
Brushed my sun-shined memories.
On still nights,
When the only clock makes sounds,
I would look out of the window
Into the darkness,
And wonder,
What’s darker?
The nights or their heart.

When You Left

It feels like we met only yesterday,
You crashed into me when I was on my way.
Your charming face, made me helpless to resist.
One coffee together, that’s all I insist.
Your one smile every time,
Told me you were mine.
We laughed, we fought and time rolled by,
And with each passing day, stronger grew the tie.
You were the one on whom I can rest my shoulder upon,
With whom I can talk until dawn.
More than myself I loved you,
You were someone out of the blue.
Every day, it was you, who made my day,
I never thought you would leave me in the half-way.
Never in my dreams, I ever wanted you to leave,
Do you even realise your absence has made me weak.
I still remember the terrific day
When I had left nothing to say,
When you left me all alone, forever
And promised me to come back never.
I still can’t get that sight out of my mind,
I think you promised me to always stay mine.
I remember the window and the bed, on which you laid,
On which through your life you never made.
It wasn’t clear back then, it isn’t now.
Thinking about you, still, everything gets blurred,
When I think of your face smeared in blood.
I always asked god why it happened to me and you.
And now there’s left nothing for me to do.
I wish I can come up there and stay in your arms forever,
All my life I have wanted us to stay together.
Now, this pain is something I can’t hide,
I wish you had never died.

Walking Alone

Walking on the empty streets

Walking down the town,

Voice of loneliness fills her head.

Listening to the wind blows through trees,

Feeling the summer breeze.

Looking up in the sky, makes her believe

It’s a beautiful day to die.

Her eyes meets theirs,

They smile, she smiles.

An innocent question they ask her

“How was the day, young lady?”

“Oh! It was fine.” A lie she tells.

The humble heart cries,

Still she smiles,

Covers it with a mask.

It’s been this way for years

Things aren’t as they seem.
