The aardvark who was ashamed looked at the floor
The ant that was angry banged on the door
The bee who was bold ventured on a quest
The bear who was bored drew upon his vest
The cat that was calm never entered rage
The cockatiel who was content sung in his cage
The crocodile that was cheerful looked very pleased
The deer who was disgusted brushed against the trees
The dog who was delighted wagged his tail high
The eagle that was envious soared across the sky
The goat that was grateful helped a near farmer
The gorilla that was glad ate his banana
The giraffe who was grumpy didn’t like the day
The horse who was happy galloped all the way
The jaguar that was jealous ran away far
The monkey who was mad jumped upon a car
The parrot that was proud brought aloud his voice
The snake that was sad made a poor choice
The seahorse that was silly caused a lot of strife
The tiger that was thankful loved to enjoy life

A star awoken, of dreams freely spoken
All equipped – musicianship
Unbound to conventional forms, to so adorn

Geraldine Taylor Poem
Verse 1
Whether I’m young or old, there’s a story to be told
Well above any claim to beautify
If there’s a wrong or right, there’s always a goal in sight
Let my perspective override
Chorus
It’s time to take control, let every book unfold
It’s my worth to make my own
Let every thought release, no part of me compete
Let only upright seeds be sown
There’s every kind of beautiful
Verse 2
Whether I’m short or tall, there’s every wonderful
Of every shape and every size
Cascading curls to straight, long flowing or a braid
Let each be worthy of a prize
Chorus
Bridge
Let me find the goodness in me, to deserve and to love and be free
Come celebrate the beauty we see, let’s celebrate the beauty we see
It’s all my choice what to feel, my perspective taken is real
Every nation colour and creed, every nation colour and creed
Chorus

Magnitudes of greatness
Unfailing love relentless
My noble rock and fortress
Father to the fatherless
Marched beyond the wilderness
Redeemer of righteousness
In awe of your magnificence
Omnipresent brilliance
Of glorious resplendence
An eternal assurance
A blessed abundance
Of shining countenance
With strength and resilience
Royalty and eminence
His majesty of prominence
Gladness in your presence
Free in your deliverance
Delightful in obedience
His almighty radiance

Geraldine Taylor Poem
Verse 1
When true love began, I felt my soul yet immersed into the waters of trust
With a sure intent, you had captured my eyes towards a central focus
Anticipating, the unfolding of dreams across the vision of time
Infatuated, with a symbolic splendour of love that is mine
Chorus
Of significance, shadowed silhouette
Existing undefined against comparison
Soulful harmony, captivating me
Truly everlasting to eternity
Verse 2
Of such evidence, truly reflecting the substance within
Rare and exceptional, an awesome acquaintance of graceful living
Anticipating, the unfolding of dreams across the vision of time
Infatuated, with a symbolic splendour of love that is mine
Chorus
Bridge
For I will embrace your worth
From here to the ends of the earth
My longing for you I’ll declare
For I will be there, yeah

https://m.soundcloud.com/user-921599710/our-rainforests
Deep into the rainforest, a struggle to survive
From insects to leaved trees, wanting all to thrive
The habitat of animals, species all around
Living things a-plenty, crawling on the ground
The four main layers play a different role
The bio-diversity forms part of the whole
The dark forest floor and the understory
Shorter plants existing, many bugs to see
The vibrant middle layer, yet forms the canopy
Climbing the emergent, just like a monkey
The strong plant materials, helps to build a home
For people of the Amazon, food that has been grown
Tropical regions, Equator ever near
A moderate climate, giant trees are here
Forests on a mountain, misty all around
Coated in a moss, such an eerie surround
North and South America and Oceania
Asia and Europe, as well as Africa
There’s a cycle of life, yet deforestation
Affects the homes of animals for plantation
Removing ecosystems, can cause erosion
Droughts as well as flooding, less cohesion
The modern ways of man affects vegetation
Contributing to a silent devastation
Replanting, recycling, assisting with crops
Steps of preservation quench like raindrops
The precious seeds and life, of which can be found
Yet, it’s not too late to turn this world around

Geraldine Taylor Poem
Of European descent, from whence they came
Across the borders to settle, re-establishment
Angles, Saxons and Jutes – Anglo-Saxon be known
Conquered lands, such roads have served, that of the Roman Empire
Yet under attack, strong order we lack
Helpless – o’ kingdom cry
As legions left, nations wept
Our production has ceased
O’ Saxons – mercenaries be hired
Will you defend us now?
Picts trouble thee
From ‘worthlessness’, ‘choice nature’ reflect
Anglo warriors now stand abreast
Ruddy remains, Arthur’s battle in vain
Battle of Hastings, charge and maim
A legend’s defeat, as armies retreat to lands afore
O treasured finds, beneath the silt
Fragmented helmet, of skilled design
Corrosion abhor, yet to restore
Tarnished silverware, o’ iron rusts
For much gold lay, retained –unchanged
Grave goods of Sutton Hoo, barrow over thy ship
O’ King be laid?
With objects frayed
Unaware of whetstone wear – we honour thee!
Of features present, of features past
Churches of stone, post-hole home
Tis farming year, with ploughs we break
Prepare thy soil, crops shall thrive
Fatten thy cattle, raise thy calf
Barter thee, present ye half
Commence thy craft, thy potter’s clay
Of antler work and carpentry
Thee be skilled, our peoples free

https://m.soundcloud.com/user-921599710/the-wonders-of-space
Yet a tiny fraction, there is so much more
Such a prominent universe to explore
Numerous galaxies, planets and stars
Orbiting the Sun above just like Mars
Saturn has a ring, others have a moon
Planets filled with gas like a hot balloon
Travelling in light years, so far away
Yet our solar system is a vast array
Looking through my telescope, planets to see
Looking out for Jupiter and Mercury
There is icy Pluto further from the Sun
My curious journey has just begun
The strong pull of gravity, keeping into place
The days, months and years, yet moving at a pace
Fascinating satellites, informative machine
Launching of the space crafts, places never seen
If I were an astronaut, how would I feel?
Adapting to space food, a dried and sealed meal
Travelling on mission, in the atmosphere
Witnessing diameters that I can but revere
On that day however, was my teacher playing tricks
Looking through the glasses, viewing the eclipse
Yet the Milky Way has a spiral twist
Looking from our planet, where current life exists

https://m.soundcloud.com/user-921599710/invertebrates-of-the-kingdom
Varied species of the kingdom
Across our earthly home
From sponges to the octopus
Without a backbone
Laying small eggs
Or a centimetre long
Astounding invertebrates
There outer skin is strong
Upon an organism
There they choose to lay
Eggs for a food source
Paralyse their prey
As the insect grows
So rapidly within
A time of which to moult
Remove their outer skin
The expanding colony
Survival of the team
Young bees evolving
From a single queen
Shed their exoskeleton
Insect crawling out
Expansion of their wings
Body drying out
Beginning as larvae
From the eggs they hatch
Dramatic transformation
Metamorphosis match

Geraldine Taylor Poem
Celebrate versatility, of every ethnicity
Un-marginalise, break social exclusion, transcending illusions
A streaming subject that runs deep
Of chemical appliance, let go of the defiance
Un-tick the boxes, esteeming all, tear down the walls
A part of applauded appearances, let it go, let it be
Yield the root of the matter
Is it about good or bad? Or embracing what you have
With gratitude be glad
Set your own standards and expectations
The representational, be sensational
A headed glory, create your own story
To raise or lay down, finding YOU – be found
Twists, dreads, braids, outer beauty fades
Curly, wavy, straight, close the divide
No preference of side
No greater pick, fine, medium, thick
Long, medium or short, in spite of what is bought
Towards evolution, be your own solution
Of the inner voice, your personal choice
Hair is a journey, whether late or early
Whether young or old, inner value can’t be sold
In the midst of society, establish your priority
Of inner health, let that become your wealth
Accept yourself
Taken chances, of blessed finances
No worse or better, be your own trend setter
There’s every kind of beautiful, un-throne the judge
Unborn fears, traced back through the years
Your personal connotation, comprehend the relation
The way to be true, find your inner you
Of yours, of mine, hair does not define
Of no preference, a walk beyond difference
Inner realisations, natural formations
To tame for fame
Behold victory, realise your history
Un-ravelled vanity, embrace humanity
