Oh, Oh Lovely Rose

Haiku

                                         Oh! Oh lovely Rose!
                                       Thou speak to me of a vow
                                         Your lips kiss not mine.

Dark Shadows

Back off dark shadows!
Stay away from my beloved land of great heroes,
A once glorious country in the past
Embellished by so much love and passion
And of colonialism, of independence and liberty,
Of martial law, of democracy.

Philippines, is this you?
Led by the dark shadows in cohorts;
Enmeshed by so much uncertainties;
Maligned by the caprices of the few
With heads and hearts in deep dismay.

Are you not the staunchest ally of resiliency?
Wake up to face the breaking of dawn anew.
And to the road of perdition you shall never queue.
Stand up and claim a bite of an ideal bureaucracy
For a genuine leap towards utopian society.

Philippines, art thou not so strong and wise?
Subdue all your foes to the quagmire towards hell.
Let the true blood ooze from thy heroic viens,
That very same blood that your heroes devour
Amidst defiant monsters lurking in shadowy tour.

A Tribute To Rizal

By: rontwigger

                 Fame
Are the strands of your hair
That shows erudition to no end
                  Fame
Are the blades of your mind
That speaks a paragon of ingenuity and writing flair.
                   Rizal
Every step of your feet,
Every clap of you hands,
Every smile of your face,
Every drop of ink of your pen,
And every word of your lips
Is the glittering dust of the hero and poet.
                   Tame
Are the looks of your eyes
Exemplifying the song of love.
                    Tame
Are the hues of your blood
Longing the song of white dove--
A Tribute to Rizal.

The Spymaster

No, no, no, no, no. You are not second to none
As you always pull your chair with trivial basis done;
As you always claim before a bunch of learned.
No, you're not the best. So stop being high-spirited.

No, no, no, no, no. You don't know everything
As you always proclaim---so much bragging;
As you always exemplify your life's experiences.
No, they are all nothing to ME but mere nuisances.

Yes, let other people tell your true stories
Whether or not you are so good in your histories.
Let them speak and propel their own canoes
For I am the SPYMASTER of all tornadoes.

Yes, be humble with your meager achievements
For I am the SPY who never counts my investments.
Yes, keep your words by making brown brown
For I am the MASTER who could make you frown.

A Mortal Vow

A MORTAL VOW

My one mind mends a mortal vow
And holds her cold hand ‘til the end
I knew I need my mother’s cow
To please the people whom I’ve lent.
These cord and veil create the life
That most of us eager to love
Not from the other but own wife
The strange we feel is a white dove.

Yeah, mine heart will not wall you out
If ever storms might have to dance.
Speak because I believe no doubt.
For sure I’d only fallen once
High altar should we remember
Where we held here the first God’s will.
Though this abbey seems December
Our gestures of blissfulness dwell.

Whenever a gale of wind spoke
To the left sway after the right
And we need not a puff of smoke
While waiting times to speak of bright.

Doomsday

DOOMSDAY
By: rontwigger
The dark evening sky rages with you, black riddles,
Crafted in the villain name of so much politics.
And all of a sudden all the senses are in awe,
Waiting for the morning that would start anew.
With no regrets you still empower your actions;
With no regrets you show that you're the lone superpower.
And all the nerves are in the state of catch-22,
Waiting for the dawning that would break anew.
At the center stage you speak of so much flashing.
But an evil eye is indeed on aborning,
Brooding into a perfect monster of all time,
Threatening the weak and defying the decree of the SKY.
Thy doomsday shall never linger long
For it will be delivered soon.
Now, brace your lines with much tangles you know
For the lord of the SKY is sure to put flesh on HIS words.

A Cup of Coffee

A cup of coffee keeps braving me and many souls
Through the night of much thoughts--overflowing,
Inundating over the echoing serenity--overwhelming
With my blank eyes and a pair of uneasy soles.

Freeing the aghast feeling unto the wee hours
Of the peeking dawn,
I see the beauty of your smile---not wan;
Then, I crop the world as only ours.

Whilst staring at how you comb your hair,
I feel so glad to have you as my dear.
Though the path we trail might not be too clear
With you, I'm with no sigh of despair.

Now seems to forevermore.
As I fathom every detail that you wear,
Nothing in this world we cannot bear
For this cup of coffee will guard all the love galore.

In Search of Self

IN SEARCH OF SELF

                                         There may be
                                 times for ups and downs;
                                         There may be
                              times for sweets and sorrows;
                                         There may be
                              times for planting and reaping;
                                      There may be times
                                         for happiness;
                                         for sadness;
                                         for triumphs;
                                         for birth and
                           most of all for SEARCHING and
                                         for DEATH.

                              There may be; there may be.
                  Life is for Searching and Searching is for life.

Sentinel's Silhouette

Falling leaves dry fast,
Amidst the fortunes and fumes of life.
Cascading splash runs aghast,
Before the trashes in strife.

Dirty Ps seem to multiply.
In P D, they hide and fly
Unmindful of the story they make,
Even if it means the other's wake.

Some leaves fought to stay on twigs
Believing that D Ps wouldn't dig digs.
But their hopes fell to no avail
For the D Ps' avarice is the loudest wail.

Yet, still the Sentinels' Silhlouette stay
Keeping an eye for every trail of dismay.
Aborning are the dancing buds of may.
Greening growing to the tunes of sun's ray.

Salad Days

Amidst the cool breeze of the dawn, the hope is on aborning.
For every tear down the face of the sky,
There is a rainbow smiling.
For every sinister's shadow, the silent sentinel is on watch.
Ready to spoil the eggs the evil is about to hatch.

Hope, now that you're on your salad days.
Beware of the temptation the apple brings.
For biting it entails much of the worldy ways
Directing you somewhere destruction clings.

Your salad days are but ephemeral
Like the sun is sure to set
To the horizon ruled by the west I bet;
Like the bamboo trees ready to bow in chorale.

The sun is still high for you to walk a mile
With your faith you can always smile;
The sun is still high for you to walk a mile
With your hope, reaching your dreams is but a while.
