Dark Shadows

Back off dark shadows! Stay away from my beloved land of great heroes, A once glorious country in the past Embellished by so much love and passion And of colonialism, of independence and liberty, Of martial law, of democracy. Philippines, is this you? Led by the dark shadows in cohorts; Enmeshed by so much uncertainties; Maligned by the caprices of the few With heads and hearts in deep dismay. Are you not the staunchest ally of resiliency? Wake up to face the breaking of dawn anew. And to the road of perdition you shall never queue. Stand up and claim a bite of an ideal bureaucracy For a genuine leap towards utopian society. Philippines, art thou not so strong and wise? Subdue all your foes to the quagmire towards hell. Let the true blood ooze from thy heroic viens, That very same blood that your heroes devour Amidst defiant monsters lurking in shadowy tour.
